Rome (in words)

Sorry folks - hitch with the Rome photos - but here are the highs / lows:

Highs
Ancient Rome – the ruins are expansive and beautiful in their fragility
Trevi fountain – surrounded by buildings, seems incongruous but very cool
Colosseum – incredible. Hard to explain the heartstopping moment when you first see it.


Lows
Dodgy people abound
Smelly
Dirty
Graffiti everywhere
My feet hurt
Tourist – queues to get in places are huge. Stops me going into St Peters etc . . .
